Hotel is in an excellent location for a short break in York by train. Room was clean and comfortable, food very good and all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The Hotel was lovely along with the staff who made the stay as the food especially the breakfast was excellent and I have stayed in a lot of hotels around the uK

We would definitely stay at The Churchill again if we are lucky enough to come back to York. Close to railroad station and a short, lovely walk to the old part of town. Fresh air with the windows open was heavenly! Also special mention of Ian, the concierge at the front desk...his insights on the history and places to go for dining and a pint were a big part of our enjoyment of the York.

Still excellent. Stayed a few year ago. Would recommend to anyone wishing to have a comfortable stay a very short walk from City walls.

Delighted with my stay at the Churchill, in a small double room. Room was very well fitted out with everything I needed. All staff were so pleasant and helpful. The public areas are lovely, and the breakfast was fantastic.

Our overall experience was fab . We will definitely be returning here , the atmosphere and the staff where great , nothing was to much trouble , we where able to store our luggage on the day of leaving until we where ready to leave

I cant recommend this hotel highly enough. The room "The Marlborough" was excellent, clean and the bed was to die for. The staff were very friendly, polite, professional and very helpful. The overall ambience of the hotel relaxing and quiet. Car parking was a bit pricey. But other than that a really superb hotel and we will be visiting again.

Bad start but second and third night were perfect,..the front of house team were very helpful and friendly providing us with hints and tips with information of York and the hotels history.
