The Churchill Hotel

Overall Very positive- have recommended you to a friend. The room (room 124) was unusual with the stairs inside - my mother found them awkward. We also found it strange not being able to see outside when wakening up in the morning.

Lovely hotel with lovely staff just a shame our room over looked the bins in which was a little noisey. Car park was good. Not much of a walk into the centre.

Well... It's 4 stars Hotel. I was expecting a bit more. Too hot in the room. No air condition. In the bathroom shower was not working properly, the mixer actually and there was boiling hot water. Wasn't able to wash hair and back. Also for this price was expecting fridge in the room. But unfortunately no fridge. And very small room.

Really liked the personality of the hotel and would praise all the staff for their professional and very warm welcome. Particularly liked that the breakfast is cooked for you to order.. and it was genuinely good quality ingredients.. was delicious!

Really good experience and would love to stay again. Extremely well located for York and a beautiful hotel. Staff were lovely. Would have liked a slightly larger bed and maybe some more pillows but just being picky.

We loved our stay at The Churchill. It is a beautiful building and very peaceful. It was also just a short walk to all the sites we visited while in York.

Very pleasant stay - would requested a room on the upper floors though due to the poor light down below.

Lovely room, helpful staff. Food was ok but a little pricey. Ideal location, close to town and station.

Always relaxed and helpful staff. Slightly surprised ar the absence of bath and bathrobe. The former I had failed to specify but the latter seems usually to be available at similar standard hotels.
