The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk into the centre of York. The room was lovely, decorated in a contemporary style & very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable & having two single beds in the family room was a real bonus for us, much appreciated by our children as in the past they have been used to a sofa bed when staying in family rooms! The only negative was that the room was very warm, we had the windows open but found it too noisy to sleep so had to close them. The staff we met were all very friendly & knowledgeable about the area, giving us a map on arrival & providing us with useful information & a discount voucher for Jorvik.
We had a fantastic couple of days in York & thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Churchill. We would be very happy to stay here again.

A little disappointed , photos were a little misleading and the trees in car park made an awful mess of car and had to pay £10.00 for the privilege

Very good. Brilliant location and with car parking, too. Nice room, but a typically British lack of service culture in the breakfast room and very slow early checkout let down the overall impression.

Fantastic night away from our toddler. The hotel is in a fabulous location and so quirky. Spotlessly clean, excellent customer service and great breakfast. The only I would say is that our room was very warm.

The hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable. Just very disappointed to have been given a room with no window, a skylight in the roof is no substitute. We booked this well in advance and expected a room with a window. There was no mention of this when we booked, it should be mentioned on booking if internal room being allocated.

It was a very good stay, I booked over the phone and received a confirmation email but when I checked it the day before we arrived the cost of the stay was not on the email. On check out we were not automatically offered a receipt.

The Churchill provided an excellent service. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. We will definitely be returning in the near future.
