All in all, it was a very pleasant stay. For us, staying in a good hotel when travelling is very important. So staying at Hotel Berghof made our short holiday a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

We stayed for a full week. Pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of the building, atmosphere and good taste of decoration. Staff very kind and hospitable. F&B of very good high level, great variety, perfect use of local ingredients, presentation, table ware was all great. Upkeep of public areas etc. all good. Location & parking perfect. All was really good except the room. And as a good night's sleep is the main reason for a hotel stay, this was unfortunately sub-par. The room had no airconditioning or top-cooling whatsoever. Room temperature was around 28 degrees all day-night long. The only 'solution' was to pay extra to be moved to a newer room, but in all honesty. Airco in a 4star superior hotel these days is a basic, not a payable luxury. Even 3* star Ibis hotels have standard airconditioning. And also it doesn't match the level of the rest of the (new built) building which is great, modern and of high standard. So that is a reason not to book anymore. The soundproofing of the rooms (junior suite deluxe) was not good, one could hear every footstep of above neighbors and could hear side neighbors clearly.

We are sorry that the room temperature during the recent summer heat affected your comfort in the Junior Suite Deluxe.

As we had the opportunity to speak personally during your stay, we were aware that the temperature in your room was a concern for you. As the Junior Suite Deluxe you had booked is not equipped with air conditioning, we offered you the option of moving to our air-conditioned Wellness Premium Suite, a higher room category offering 65 m² compared to the 30 m² of the Junior Suite Deluxe. As this would have been an upgrade to a different room category, the corresponding additional charge would have applied. At the time, you decided not to take up this offer. Unfortunately, due to our high occupancy during peak season, the Wellness Premium Suite was no longer available the following day. We are sorry for that.

Nevertheless, we fully understand that air conditioning would have been appreciated during such warm summer temperatures. In our region, air conditioning in guest rooms – including in upscale hotels – is NOT YET universally standard, although we are well aware that it is becoming increasingly important. We continuously strive to develop our offering and provide our guests with the highest possible level of comfort, service, and quality.

We sincerely regret that, despite the many positive aspects of your stay, this particular point would prevent you from considering another stay at our hotel.

We would nevertheless be delighted to welcome you back, to show you once again why we are such a great choice, and perhaps to book the perfect room for you next time.

Der Umbau des Hotels gefällt uns sehr gut.
Das Essen war sehr gut und abwechslungsreich.
Der Infinity-Pool, die Sauna und die Ruhebereiche finden wir äußerst gelungen.

Sehr gutes Hotel, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, sehr gute Küche.
Leider fehlte im Zimmer eine Klimaanlage.
