Fantasic location and lovely surroundings.vwas expensive for no additional services.

Overall good stay, preferred walking around the hotel vs being in the room. Hotel grounds very neat, historic, and impressive. Room was average, we both felt it could use some updating and an injection of life. For example, huge blank white wall behind bed, a piece of local art would go a long way. Didn't feel there was much thought put behind the furnishings or decor. Shower was dated and drained poorly, shower lighting harsh, this would be good starting place for improvement. Room just felt underwhelming for the price point and being a "Governer's Suite", it did not live up to its' potential compared to the rest of the hotel grounds.
