We walked all over Oaxaca and experienced the town from every angle. We were always so happy that our return at the end of every adventure ended back at La Quinta Real!

Quinta Real was very conveniently located, felt extremely safe and like its own oasis inside the city. The concierge booked us a private city tour with Hector for our first day and he was so great we booked him again for a tour to Monte Alban and a mezcaleria. The hotel is an old convent and has beautiful historic details. The pool area is also gorgeous. As others have noted, the stairs are non standard and it would be difficult for those who are mobility challenged.
