I stayed at Quinta real for my wedding. I had a suite that was more expensive than the other rooms, and my shower didn’t work for 1.5 out of the 3 days I was getting married. I assumed it would be a quick fix, but it took 4-5 hours and It was being fixed the day of my wedding. This meant I didn’t have access to my shower on my wedding day until 45 minutes before I had to leave, and I had hotel employees coming in and out of my room all day.

Also, at the end of our stay, my fiancé and I found out we were charged exorbitant prices for things that were communicated to be free to us. For instance, we were asked if we wanted our coffee and water replenished in our room after cleaning service came. We said yes, and then at the end of our stay, saw we were charged $75 for Nespresso coffee pods (it should have been communicated that replacing the coffee for the only coffee machine in the room cost money before asking if we would like it replenished).

The hotel is beautiful and in a central location, but the combination of the deceptive charges and having basic amenities like a shower not work in a room that I paid over $400 a night for made for a poor stay experience

Todo en orden, solo me gustaría que considerarán un elevador para personas de la tercera edad y discapacitados.

Debido a que nuestro edificio está clasificado como monumento histórico de la humanidad, el organismo protector de los monumentos no nos permite instalar un elevador. Esperamos tenerlo pronto de regreso con nosotros en Quinta Real Oaxaca, ofrecerle una habitación en planta baja y así poder seguir atendiéndola y que disfrute de nuestras exclusivas instalaciones con una de las mejores ubicaciones. The hotel is undoubtedly very beautiful. And the grounds are fabulous. The room was great but dark. I know that is the structure of the windows but it still felt pretty dark. The bathrooms are not 5* and desperately need updating. The sink was very low, and it felt very dated. The plug for the bathtub did not work.
You should leave a nice glass container of filtered water in a jug, instead of tiny plastic bottles of water. Or at least a large bottle of water.
The hotel is in Oaxaca, with a wealth of craft, and yet the walls were bare - no craft or artwork on the completely bare walls. What a missed opportunity.
I think for a 5* hotel and the price, it could have been nicer.

Tuvimos una bonita estancia. Sin embargo al final tuvimos un evento agridulce y muy desafortunado. Mis papás que se hospedaron en la habitación 257 dejaron sobre la cama el joyero (caja azul pequeña) con un par de aretes y dos anillos de mi mamá (diamantes y zafiros que eran de mi abuelita ) así como un cargador de teléfono. Hablamos ayer para preguntar sobre los artículos pero nos comentaron que solo estuvo el cargador. Es una pena que un hotel tan prestigioso tenga este tipo de acontecimientos. Estamos muy tristes y decepcionados por lo ocurrido.
