This hotel is located in a historic building that previously functioned as a convent and a prison. It has genuine character, the public areas are absolutely gorgeous, it is very well maintained and feels like it is part of some fairytale. We stayed in suite 209, a particularly large one with a large living room and two bathrooms (the only one in the hotel?) so were very pleased with it. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this hotel!

My overall experience was awful. I was unable to stay at the hotel because of the disastrous fires in Los Angeles that destroyed my family home and put my mother in the hospital. I was only credited for one night. I should have been credited for the entire stay. I will NEVER recommend this hotel and I will be writing a scathing YELP review about the lack of compassion displayed by the management.

Quinta Real Oaxaca, as a company, is supportive and has helped several guests and collaborators who have relatives living in Los Angeles, who are in the same situation as you and who were also strongly affected by the fires that devastated this town. We are doing our best to help as many affected people as possible, such as collaborators and guests, unfortunately it will never be enough due to the magnitude of the destruction caused by the fires.
I reiterate our solidarity with their families as well as with all the inhabitants of Los Angeles.
