The Quinta Real is in a perfect location for exploring Oaxaca. You don't need a car. The surrounding historic centro is so colorful. The hotel itself is very old and historic and many of the old features have been preserved yet you will have all modern comforts. Breakfast on the beautiful patio was the perfect way to start the day. Both couples had "Gran Class Kings". They were not large and the decor was very neutral and boring. Since the hotel is in a city with so much art, color and crafts I had hoped it would be reflected in the rooms. Maybe colorful throw pillows, a bed scarf and art on the walls? Though the bathroom is small, it was clean and the fixtures worked well and the showered looked new.

Excellent service and good food. The hotel is beautiful. There’s no elevator but the staff helps. The room is small but comfortable and clean. Next time we’ll get the larger room.
