Pesima. No pude descansar por la fiesta, la cual no se me informo al momento de mi reservacion

Todo muy bien, el servicio, la comodidad y el ambiente en general del hotel. Muy limpio y cómodo, el buffet del desayuno excelente.

I picked this hotel because there is a Quinta Real in Oaxaca which was an old convent. I went to that Quinta Real to watch a Guelaguetza show in a large room. I picked Quinta Real in Zacatecas because of my previous experience in Oaxaca. I have to honestly say that I was disappointed for the Quinta Real in Zacatecas for many reasons. 1) on the first night, the heater didn’t work so we changed room , It also has 2 steps between the beds and bathroom and I was worry that I would trip if I had to use the rest room at night 2) the first room is small but the second room that we moved to was much bigger, 3) every day we had to request for something related to coffee. One day no coffee, another day no regular sugar, only artificial sugar, another day no stir rod for the coffee. The single coffee receptacle wasn’t emptied. There is no check list to make sure all the supplies are there. 4) the biggest concern is the carpet is very old and worn and a small piece missing, 5) another dislike is the room is dark with only 1 lamp by the beds , 2 small flash light size lamps over the beds, and one at the entrance. 6) in room 218 or 318, the jacuzzi is tilted to one side and some water didn’t drain. When we showered, we stepped into a puddle of undrained water 7) the price of the breakfast was insanely expensive. I could have 3 breakfasts for the price of one near the Cathedral. 8) pigeons were tolerated and stayed within the hotel premise . Every morning at 5:00 to 7:00 am the pigeons were cooing . My sister and I walked around the hotel and on the upper floor (4 or 5), the windows were opened. They have screens and we saw piles of pigeons shits on the ledge . It was unsightly. Small pieces of pigeons feather were on the beautiful flowery plants outside the window. One pigeon sat there with 2 small eggs . With such an old hotel, it requires a lot of maintenance and it appears that the maintenance is lacking. It requires major renovation because it really affects the reputation of this brand. I would say the bull ring is nice as a museum and not as a hotel because there is no much space wasted right in the middle of the ring. Only half of the bull ring is usable . I stayed there to sleep and not to fight bulls . I was looking forward to an unique experience but I left feeling disappointed. The staff , at the reception, at the door, cleaning ladies were all exceptional. Everything else receives a below average score.
